Duchess Kate gets SAS training amid fears she may be a kidnap target

In recent months Duchess Kate has been catapulted to worldwide fame. One of the most recognisable faces on the planet right now. While Kate has been performing public duties and adjusting to married life, The Royal family has become increasingly concerned she may be a kidnap target.
The Duchess of Cambridge has reportedly undertaken an intensive personal protection plan. The course is described as 'very tough, both physically and mentally'. It implements basic survival skills such as becoming more aware of ones surroundings, monitoring any unusual activity, driving in a pressurised situation and secret coding. Prince William, Princess Diana and The Queen have all taken this training in the past. Taught by members of the SAS each and every scenario is taken into account. A source said 'The Palace wants to make sure Kate's new status doesn't make her vulnerable to attack. She has been well trained should the unthinkable happen. VIP kidnap protection training teaches how to cope both mentally and physically. The mental element involves reacting to unusual situations, such as when there was a stranger in the Queen's bedroom and she just started talking to him.
With millions of fans the possibilities of stalkers emerging is also high. Also terrorists hoping for political gain would be a cause for concern. It must be quite daunting for Kate who grew up carefree. Now security is of optimum importance.
The media would lead us to believe the life of a Princess or celebrity is essentially perfect. Personally I think it comes with many challenges. For Kate she cannot go to the supermarket without her bodyguard and this will be the case for the rest of her life. The Duchess is always calm and collected which makes her the ideal person for this role.
The news is also a reminder to potential kidnappers not to mess with the Duchess! :)
