Kate reveals her fears for William as the couple get to know Prince Edward Island

William and Kate have begun their day in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island at Provence house , the birthplace of confederation. William said 'It is quite the moment for Catherine and me to be standing here in Atlantic Canada, in front of in front of Provence house where Canadian confederation was forged'. The couple then took part in a walkabout where they greeted over 30,000 tourists.

It has also been revealed that at Ottawa's memorial park while talking to a military wife. Kate revealed how she deeply worries for William while he's at work. 'I always worry but my job is to support my husband. You should always support your husband. I worry when William goes on a mission. I find it very difficult. You always fear for them not knowing not knowing if something is going to happen and it can be very hard'. The much loved Duchess perhaps found it easy to relate to a military wife who would understand the same fears.

Kate is wearing a Sarah Burton for McQueen cream and navy knit dress with her prada pumps and sapphire earrings. Her hair is tied back (which I love on her) The dress isn't one of my favourites but I still think we will see her wear something vibrant and colourful before the tour is over. It was designed with one of Kate's favourite books in mind 'Anne of green gables'. Next the couple will compete in a dragon boat race.

Kate admits she 'hopes to' have a baby in Prince Edward Island

For the first time ever, Duchess Kate has spoken about having a family. After arriving in Charlotte, Prince Edward Island, The Duchess was handed a bouquet of flowers by the beautiful, two year old daughter of British ex pat David Cheater. He wished Kate the best of luck starting a family and she replied 'Yes, I hope to'. Kate will not be making any formal speeches during the royal tour, however this statement proves she is more interested in interacting with the people of Canada. We may be seeing a baby on the way in the not too distant future!

Kate made her second outfit change of the day, This time into a loose fitting Joseph  Vanessa cream dress with a beautiful matching jacket and Rupert Sanderson nude heels. I love this look. I think the jacket sets it off wonderfully and the heels are the most stylish shoes I've seen Kate wear. The Duchess carried the LK Bennett Natalie clutch too. (Kate must have improved sales at LK Bennett massively in the past few months).

It will be another busy day for William and Kate with public engagements in Charlottestown, Summerside and a journey to the Northwest Territories later this evening. The couple show no signs of tiredness and have approached the tour full of energy. I look forward to seeing what Kate chooses today. Perhaps a British deisgner?

William and Kate to visit Anne of Green Gables landmarks

The house that inspired 'Anne Of Green Gables'

Children of all have ages have enjoyed reading the bestselling novel 'Anne Of Green Gables'. The novel describes a couple who were sent an orphan girl instead of a boy mistakenly, yet decide to keep her. Author Lee Maud Montgomery used her own childhood experiences in Prince Edward Island for the book. Obviously Kate was one of the many children who adored the novel, insisting on a visit to Prince Edward Island during her state visit to Canada.
A source said, 'It is something of a sentimental journey. The book was Kate's favourite when she was growing up. The details of the Canadian tour are still being worked out but she requested that Prince Edward Island be on their itinerary so she could see the house and places mentioned in the book'. The character has become an iconic image for the island and an excellent source of tourism. Locals are excited about the visit, 'It's good, there are definitely no negatives to this visit'. Royals including Prince Charles and Sophie of Wessex have visited the island while touring Canada. The Duchess of Cambridge who performed her first official public duty as William's wife yesterday greeting the Obamas did a splendid job. She graces the cover of almost every newspaper today and has been hailed a style icon, crashing the Reiss site after wearing their shola camel dress.
