Duchess Kate enjoys day in Quebec city in another blue lace Erdem dress

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have taken part in a prayer service in Quebec city . The service is being held aboard HMCS Montreal, where the couple spent last night travelling from Montreal. They slept in the quarters of the warship's head officer Commander Real Brisson. These quarters are generally reserved for VIPS (You don't really get more important VIPS than the future King and Queen of England :)) They enjoyed breakfast with the sailors and reportedly enjoyed their time getting to know the crew.

The Anglican bishop of Quebec, Dennis Drainville was very excited about the visit 'The significance of today for me and many other Anglicans is very simple. We have a long association with the Monarchy. William will someday be King and because of that his opportunity to come here and be among people and learn more about Canadians. It's important, we are very diverse'. Despite some troublesome protests the couple have received a warm welcome thus far. (Who wouldn't like them?.....)

Duchess Kate looked stunning in a pre spring 2011 blue lace dress by Canadian designer Erdem.  This is the second time she has chosen one of his lace designs on the Royal tour.
There seems to be a lot of disappointment about the dress being another blue, lace Erdem. I must say, I think it's beautiful and the colour is so striking. What do you all think? She teamed it with her blue sapphire earrings a nude clutch and nude heels.

Next the Royal couple made their way to 'Maison Dauphine' . The centre for street youth provided Duchess Kate with excellent entertainment. One man performed a trick for her and she was extremely impressed. I love how Kate's face is so animated, a picture really is worth a thousand words with her! Outside two hundred spectators chanted 'Kate, Kate'.

William and Kate proceeded to city hall, Where William made a speech in french. 'It is simply a pleasure to be here. Thank you for your patience with my accent and I hope that we will have the chance to get to know each other over the coming years'. The protests continued here in full force. Sharpshooters were stationed on a roof in the square in city hall to keep watch for any suspicious activity. For security reasons the couple did not linger with crowds but met as many as possible in the short time they were there. As always the couple will be fashionably late for their next engagement :)

Enchanting photo of William and Kate enjoying firework display released

I just saw this stunning photo of William and Kate enjoying the fireworks display at Canada day. (Many thanks to Jane Barr) It is just a beautiful photograph. The aspect I most love is the fact it's not a photo of a Duke and Duchess attending a public event or posing for the camera, It is simply a snapshot of a newly married young couple in love. Canada day was essentially all work for William and Kate, here we see them taking time out to enjoy the firework display in private. A truly romantic photo.

Today, We can expect to see plenty of the Duchess as she has another full schedule ahead of her. The couple were photographed laughing and smiling as they boarded HCMS Montreal. Duchess Kate changed her silver glittering shoes for more comfortable black ones. Upon arrival they will join the crew for a morning prayer, Followed by a tour of La Maison Daphine. Afterwards their first public event of the day, The freedom of the city ceremony at Québec city hall. Finally they will attend Lévis community celebration before departing for Prince Edward Island. I hope we see Kate choosing another fitted dress, perhaps something bright! I'll post photos as soon as they are available. For anyone who is enjoying a leisurely Sunday off, Sky News generally have full coverage of all events the Duke and Duchess attend.

All in a days work: Kate proves why she deserves to be the people's princess and cooks up a storm!

Duchess Kate has had quite a day. After arriving in Montreal the pair visited the Sainte Justine hospital where the couple met patients and staff. During this time we got a chance to see Kate interact with people properly. I must say she reminds me so much of Diana, People relate to her and see past her title of Duchess. Today Kate bent down to speak to wheelchair bound  Terry Joyce. She warmly shook his hand and said 'Let's get you out of the sunlight terry'.
Afterwards Joyce described how touched he was 'It has given me a tremendous lift . It goes to show we have a wonderful monarchy. It was one of the best days of my life'. Kate does not come form royalty therefore we all feel more at ease with her. At the Sainte Justine hospital the Duchess spent time with patients, getting to know their stories and illnesses. We definitely need a new people's princess and Kate is proving why she deserves the honour!

Next up for the couple was a more casual event. They attended a cookery workshop at the Institut de Tourisme. The Duchess of Cambridge was firmly involved even donning chef's whites with glittering silver heels. Prince William looked utterly amused as his wife stood at the top of the kitchen preparing a dish. Kate was all smiles during this event and even learned a new recipe! Kate is reportedly a much better cook then William. Tonight, they are sleeping aboard HCMS Montreal. Hopefully they will get some much welcome rest!

cheer to cancer victim with only 12 weeks to live

Prince William and Princess Catherine brought comfort to the man who was recently told he had only 12 weeks to live. Mr Joyce, 47, a former computer expert from Ottawa, struggled to his feet and lent against a walking frame as the Duke Prince William, 29, arrived.

The Prince William told him to sit down and relax. Then the Duchess
Princess Catherine arrived, shook Mr Joyce warmly by the hand and told him:
"Let's get you out of the sunlight Terry." After the royal couple, Prince William and Princess Catherine left, Mr Joyce, who lives in the Bruyere Hospice, burst into tears and was comforted by his doctor.

Kate's Wimbledon dress tops the poll

Firstly thank you all for voting on the poll. As Kate has been wearing quite a lot of white, I was interested to see which you all thought looked best. The winner was the Alice by Temperly Moriah dress she wore to Wimbledon. The pleated knee length dress looked beautiful on her. Worn with LK Bennett shoes and earrings made from Princess Diana's sapphire and diamond earrings, It was Kate's ultimate summer look so far.
Since Kate began the royal tour we have only seen her in white once. Yesterday she wore the Reiss Nanette dress for Canada day celebrations. The couple have just landed in Montreal and still have a busy day ahead. I look forward to seeing what she wears next.......

William and Kate say goodbye to Ottawa as they arrive in Montreal

Kate receives flowers as she arrives in Montreal

I think we will all agree, William and Kate's three day visit to Ottawa, Canada was simply spectacular. The couple were welcomed with open arms and threw themselves into each engagement. From celebrating Canada day to saying goodbye to Ottawa by meeting with veterans. Hundreds waited outside (I'm surprised there wasn't a bigger turnout for the couple on their final Ottawa engagement) cheered the royal couple on as they were met by Heritage minister James Moore outside the Canada War Museum.
Kate, still wearing her Catherine Walker dove grey dress met with several generations of veterans. The couple unveiled a black curtain to reveal a towering military mural by artist, Augsutus John.
The couple then left Ottawa and have just arrived at the Elliot Trudeau airport in Montreal Quebec.

Duchess Kate takes part in her first tree planting ceremony

It's just day three of the Royal tour and already it has been called a huge success. William and Kate have proved themselves to be friendly and warm and Canadians love them for that. The huffington post said 'The tour is phenomenal success and everyone has expected it to be. Britain's first family is cognizant that they need to update their image and appear more accessible to the younger generation'.
Today the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge proved just how down to earth they are. Today the couple took part in a ceremonial tree planting at Rideau hall in Ottawa. Duchess Kate took part and even helped plant the tree. Kate looked stunning in a dove grey Catherine Walker kensington dress and  LK Bennett nude heels, Walker was also a designer who Diana loved, Perhaps Kate is looking to Diana's style for ideas during the busy tour.  It is the 29 year olds first (Of many) tree planting ceremonies.
The couple will fly to Montreal, Quebec later today. Perhaps Kate will change on the flight again! I'll keep you updated!
